Children to create a short animated film that promotes the message of keeping themselves safe and respecting the roads/other road users. Children will reflect and discuss issues related to road safety, ‘what is respect?’ and how road users and pedestrians can be respectful to one another.
Children will storyboard their ideas and plan their short film and iSight animation cameras and iMacs will be used in conjunction with a series of mini props, for children to manipulate and record their film. Once recorded, children can edit their animation and finalise their film including additional music, sound effects, transitions and credits using iMovie. All completed animations can be saved as Quicktime movies which can be uploaded to both the Pompey Study Centre website.

The best animations will also be sent to every school in the city for display on their information screens throughout the school.
